Paradigm Secure Communications has been selected as Preferred Bidder by the UK MOD for Skynet 5, for the first time delivering secure global military satellite communications (milsatcoms) to the UK armed forces in the form of a service provision contract. Worth around £2 billion over two decades, this service will be procured under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI).

Under PFI, these secure communication services are also available to non-UK armed forces, governments, organisations and businesses all around the world. PFI provides a highly flexible and cost effective service provision solution, eliminating the risks of managing the space system and benefiting from evolving technologies and increasing capacity available.
