Paradigm Secure Communications is under contract to the UK MOD for the Skynet 5 programme.

Paradigm is delivering a secure global military satellite communications (satcom) infrastructure. The Skynet 5 programme is providing a range of services, including global mobile voice communications, video conferencing, multimedia-based communications and broadcast communications.

Skynet 5 Services are initially being provided using the existing Skynet 4 infrastructure which will then be upgraded to incorporate Skynet 5 satellites and an enhanced ground segment. Skynet 5 Services are being used by the UK's armed forces, and are available to government departments and other agencies and organisations that require secure communications. These services are also available to approved defence and other governmental users from overseas countries and multinational organisations, such as NATO.

Paradigm had already established itself as a service provider through Project WELCOME (WELfare COMmunications Everywhere – a welfare communications service for the UK MOD), successfully providing Voice, E-mail and Internet services to UK Armed Forces serving on operational duty overseas.
