In order to operate the equipment and facilities within the Skynet 5 System a new management system will be designed and developed by Logica (one of Astrium's key subcontractors for the project). The functions supported include:
- Service request management
- Service activation
- Monitoring and reporting of service status, attributes and performance
- Billing and accounting
- Support of Paradigm's business operations
