SCOT

delivers reliable communications links at sea - no matter what the conditions

Maintaining vital communications with vessels at sea presents a range of unique challenges.
For many years, SCOT (Shipborne Communications Terminal) terminals have successfully supported naval satellite communications, delivering ground-breaking capability for maintaining satcom links no matter what the pitch, yaw or orientation of the vessel at any moment in time.

The SCOT family of naval SHF Satellite Communications Terminals is the product of 35 years of evolutionary development.  Eleven navies have chosen SCOT, and over 200 terminals are in service, making it the most widely fitted naval SHF terminal in the world. SCOT has also been installed in more than 40 different warship classes, from corvettes to aircraft carriers.

SCOT is designed for ease of installation, with minimum impact on the ship’s other weapons and sensor systems.   It is a modular system, and both single and multi-band terminals are available with a range of antenna sizes and EIRP options to suit any size of ships.

The new X-Band maritime terminal (SCOT 5) and its smaller variant mini-SCOT, provide highly reliable communications links in even the most demanding situations. SCOT terminals also support all standard communications services (such as voice, data, fax, video) and transmission modes ( IP, Serial, ATM, DVB).
